Above the line
Music tv channel - MTV
- advertising on other channels for example CBS - AMC, comedy channels that ViacomCBS owns.
- social media’s shown at the bottom of the website being Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
- billboards distributed in areas around the UK for that is where the channel is broadcasted
- posters around the local areas and in shops to widely broadcast the channel easier and efficiently.
From using these types of advertising methods it allows the correct target audience to be targeted for the MTV advert would be shown on the same channel or similar channels to then the programme. This is done so then there is easy access to the target audience. From using social media and billboards for advertising it means that everyone will see it and recognise the logo for MTV. From using social media it allows the younger generation to notice the channel and use it more for it would be based on celebrities, music and gossip.

- Xfinity.com advertises the show highly, MTV music advertises it
- billboards around the cities to target the older audience
- social media account to help target and interest the younger audiences
- bus wrappings around the cities where the channel is broadcasted being the UK
These methods of advertising the programme will help target the audience and distribute the channel easier. This will be able to target the audiences from around the county through media sectors and physical sectors, this will help target a wide range of different audiences for there is a mixture of cultures, races, ages and ethnicity’s. from using social media to distribute the channel it will allow the younger ages to recognise and become interested in the channel. This will help target the audience of 14-40 year olds, however from also advertising on billboards and posters it will help the older generations recognise and be interested in the channel and websites.
Self assessment- To improve on my work I think I should add more detail in explains my work and why I have chosen to use certain materials as I have. I will also add more images to further explain my reasons.
Peer assessment- Okay thats actually a good attempt all id say is maybe, go into a little depth on the methods like where are the different advertisements shown, is one done more than the other? Just little things like that

These methods of advertising have been chosen to be used for they are good methods to interact with their audience through the competition and also through the social media pages. These advertising methods will help to target the younger audiences for teens and people in their 20s generally are competitive.
