KTA7 - Above and below the line advertising for a news tv programme and music tv channel

Above the line   Music tv channel - MTV  - advertising on other channels for example CBS - AMC, comedy channels that ViacomCBS owns. - social media’s shown at the bottom of the website being Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.  - billboards distributed in areas around the UK for that is where the channel is broadcasted  - posters around the local areas and in shops to widely broadcast the channel easier and efficiently.  From using these types of advertising methods it allows the correct target audience to be targeted for the MTV advert would be shown on the same channel or similar channels to then the programme. This is done so then there is easy access to the target audience. From using social media and billboards for advertising it means that everyone will see it and recognise the logo for MTV.  Legal issues - copyright and ownership, PRS license, health and safety, contracts of work, media regulation. Ethical issues - deception of violence, sex and the use of strong language, fake celebrity news/ fluff, product  You can’t use any music that’s out aren’t licensed for and claim profits from it. You can’t  use fake news about any of the artists.

KTA 6: Legal and ethical considerations

Task 1 PRS License - making sure this is in place so that musicians/record labels get paid royalties for songs that are broadcast. These people gain money from people listening to their music and broadcasting it for they have to pay them in order to do so.  Copyright and ownership - if content is presented as original (this could be use of imagery and graphics in backgrounds during presenter exposition) Health and safety - when filming for camera crew, presenters. There is legislation (by law) in place to protect those in the media (this is why risk assessments and recces and done). Contracts of work - model releases, location releases forms. Media regulation - music videos are regulated by the BBFC - what are the problems with some of the content of music videos?
